Crashes > of the R.A.F.
During the attack on Essen, the X3702 came under the fire of several anti-aircraft batteries. It was hit, caught fire and crashed in Nievenheim near the zinc works. The aircraft burned out completely after the impact.
None of the crew survived the crash and all were buried at Neuss Central Cemetery.
