PD365

Crashes > of the R.A.F.

During the attack on Hildesheim, the Lancster I, PD365 probably came under flak fire from the 7th Flak Div in the area around Cologne. It was hit and crashed in an open field in Odenthal / Kramerhof at around 14:30. One engine was found in the "Rosauer Busch", a wooded area above Kramerhof. The majority of the aircraft crashed between this wooded area and the "Trienenhaus" farm.

None of the crew survived the crash; they were rescued and buried in a common grave in the Odenthal cemetery.
