Crashes > of the R.A.F.

During the approach to the bombing raid on Düsseldorf, the bombers were attacked by several night fighters.
The Wellington BJ841 was hit by the Bf110 of Lt. Hans Autenrieth, Stab II / NJG1. and crashed about one kilometer west of Titz. Further circumstances of the crash and the exact crash site are not known.
The entire crew was killed in the crash and was buried in the cemetery in Mönchen Gladbach.
